Torchy’s tacos!!! I’m obsessed with this place.

SSPX0207
A variation of this pasta recipe. Made with organic vegetable pasta from Wheatsville Co-op.

My friend Megan and I baked a tosca cake (swedish almond cake) and watched Pride and Prejudice on a Wednesday night. I love summer and girls nights in.

Bunting

Posted: July 25th, 2010

For a friend’s surprise birthday party I made some rainbow bunting! A couple of my friends knew immediately I was in charge of decorations because they know how much I love bunting.

I punched holes in triangles and strung ribbon through it. The tiny circles were sprinkled around this ranunculus (I found a bouquet for the birthday girl at Austin Flower Co on 35th street. Check it out! They have a great selection). I used light green ribbon for the triangles on the fireplace and sparkly gold ribbon (you can’t see it in the picture) through the bigger triangles (below).

I’m posting this picture because it makes me laugh. I totally get in a zone when I do creative-design-related stuff. My friend Betho (who took these pictures, thank you love) captioned the picture on facebook: Helen in her “internship” mode. Look at those eyes. So concentrated. So focused. Haha.

Thanks to my gorgeous girl friends Betho, Em, Alice, and Jenn for helping me put them up.

Ephesians 3:14-19 (NASB)

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all th fullness of God.

Day 16: A song that makes you cry (or nearly)

Pretty much any soft worship song can bring tears to my eyes.

I’m copying Yuri and saying Sparklehorse/Radiohead’s cover of Wish You Were Here.

(Skipping Day 15 because I don’t read Fan fiction).
