Day 01: Your Favorite Song
What Yuri said: It’s Day 01 and I already want to give up.
My Soul Sings was played at church this Sunday. It’s a current favorite of mine mostly because of the lyrics:
My soul sings
How I love you
It captures how I generally feel all the time (but especially during worship and prayer). I don’t have much of a voice nor am I good with my words. I am therefore grateful that God knows my heart completely and the deepest part of my soul that cries out adoration and gratefulness to Him in language and song this world could never capture perfectly.
I’m cheating and listing a few more favorites, because, come on, this is a ridiculous question. Who has just one favorite song??

- There are also particular songs by bands my dad loves (Eagles and Chicago) that should be on this list. They remind me of childhood.
29 days to go. oy.

Yuri and I are starting tumblr’s 30 day challenge Monday. Wish us luck and keep us accountable faithful followers!

This is us at Frosted in April. We’re rocking ray bans and eating ice cream cupcakes. I love this girl. We are kindred spirits.

Mint chocolate chip ice cream inside. Delish.
My 3rd blog entry for today. It’s just one of those days.
PS: I finally got around to downloading pictures off of my digital camera. I’ll be reliving New York in a futre blog entry.

One of my favorite books from childhood is being made into a movie. I have mix feelings about this.

Yesterday my friend Betho and I made the meatiest spaghetti sauce I have had in a long time. Everyone close to me knows that I love spaghetti and can eat it multiple times a week and enjoy it every time. In fact, tonight I’m planning on cooking spaghetti with another friend.

Here are some icons that I made in illustrator for a project I’m working on for work. The design is going in a different direction, so I’m no longer using them, but I like them enough to showcase them here. I had a difficult time with the last icon. It’s a dress (just fyi, if you can’t tell). Before I tweaked it, no joke, it looked like a cat.

Excuse the brightness of the icons. They exported incorrectly.

This blog entry is going to be all over the place. Just a warning.
Let’s begin with some spiritual musings…
From Sunday’s sermon on Genesis 13 at the Austin Stone:
Honor God completely and serve man.
Anything that propels you to adore God is a blessing.
Freely you receive, freely you give.
It has been difficult to forgive people and myself lately. This reality has been a wake up call for me. How can I claim to know Him and not forgive? Today I am at the library not only blogging but taking some much needed time to meditate on the grace of God.
And now for some pretty random pictures:

Love the stained glass.
Finally some pictures capturing what Peter and I have been doing:
I took this picture inside the paramount theater (historic theater featuring balcony seats and old classic movies. great date place!). This is Audrey Hepburn (love her) right before this scene. Peter and I sat up on the second floor. The only downside of the night was how cold it was inside the theater. Thankfully Texas nights are warm and the walk back to my car was that much more enjoyable.

We went and saw Toy Story 3 at the IMAX theater.

My nose was too flat for the glasses :[ but at least we have a picture together. Toy Story 3 is great by the way. I highly recommend it.
Cheers to being in the same city as my boyfriend and God’s blessings that come in all shapes and forms.
