The long weekend

The following pictures are some shots from my camera phone. Though I spent most of the weekend documenting with a dslr for my digital photography. When I’m done uploading/editing them I’ll share some!

ICA hosted a Dim Sum event for freshmen. Delicious!

Tiff and I went to LA Live and watched The American (a huge disappointment. Dad- if you’re reading this, don’t go see it!).

Josh and Char (life mentors and great friends) picked me up and brought me to Pasadena. I helped them unpack and explored Pasadena a little with them and their two precious daughters.

Other things that went down this weekend:
Hiking griffith! and watching Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (a brother of mine raved about this movie, but I was not impressed).

It’s a good thing. It means I’m being inspired. I’m thinking, creating, and wanting to share. Often I over think blogging (i’m vain if i blog, i have nothing interesting to say, does anyone even read this thing??, etc. etc.) and end up writing multiple posts that never get published.

Love this polaroid (titled tree dog). A collar-less black german shepherd was wandering campus today. Yes, I very much I wanted to kidnap him and take him home.

Game Day

Snapped this picture today in Design III. My design crush (I really like his design style. Very PTMK) wore a cardinal and gold bow tie today in honor of the USC vs. Hawaii game tonight. Anyone else like bow ties? I love them.

The energy in my Design III class is amazing. There is so much talent in the room. I am ridiculously intimidated. Currently I am working on a poster for a re-designed space. I picked Mount Bonnell (a view point overlooking lake austin and the skyline) also known as the most romantic place in Austin. In my opinion, you are not in a relationship until you have 1)made it official on facebook and 2)been to Mount Bonnell. I am redefining the space into a kids space (think outdoor children’s museum). I have never designed something of this size (poster??!!) and I can’t wait to share the final product (if it turns out alright…).

PS: I’ll be at the first ICA large group when the game goes down. Shocker, I hardly follow football…I am a pretty bad Texan in that sense.
