Day 05: Your favorite quote

Above. Not necessarily my favorite but something I found recently.

Here’s a favorite:

When Harry met Sally

Harry Burns: There are two kinds of women: high maintenance and low maintenance.
Sally Albright: Which one am I?
Harry Burns: You’re the worst kind; you’re high maintenance but you think you’re low maintenance.
Sally Albright: I don’t see that.
Harry Burns: You don’t see that? *imitates Sally* Waiter, I’ll begin with a house salad, but I don’t want the regular dressing. I’ll have the balsamic vinegar and oil, but on the side. And then the salmon with the mustard sauce, but I want the mustard sauce on the side. “On the side” is a very big thing for you.
Sally Albright: Well, I just want it the way I want it.
Harry Burns: I know; high maintenance.

Patience

It is not easy, at 20, to wait. Waiting is what the hunter does, and the poet and the slugger. He waits for the moment of inevitability and fate and then he swings, or shoots, or takes up the pen to put down a line. They don’t teach us to wait in America; they teach us to grab. But waiting is what we do when we are looking for something beautiful, when we are looking for an end to our sorrow. Nothing is infinite in life, not even sorrow. You just have to wait.

Laughter

Isn’t this picture dreamy? And guess what? I know these people!! This is one of my besties, miss Alice, with her boyfriend. The picture is by their friend Christopher Lew.

I had a wonderful Easter. My chuch had a special sunrise service up at Griffith park. The view was beautiful and I wish I had a picture to share with yall.

This was my favorite quote in 5th grade. My teacher read it to us and started tearing up. She was wonderfully emotional like that.
